The Humans
We are Nic and Janine. We sail aboard Rua Hatu, a Vancouver 36, around the world’s oceans.
A Californian with a knack for cartography, Nic spent over twelve years as a Geographic Information Systems practitioner in a variety of resource management agencies. As of late, maps of trees and terrain have been replaced by charts of seas and shores far and wide as he applies his technical skills to keeping the many systems of SV Rua Hatu running smoothly and headed straight toward the next adventure.
Janine, a Münchner since birth, but without even a trace of a foreign accent in the three languages she speaks (fluently, not to mention the others she’s fully competent in). She broke down barriers as an IT Professional in her career spanning over ten years, two countries, two continents, numerous disciplines and countless achievements. These days her linguistic excellence (and her EU passport) are keenly focused on getting us safely around the globe in comfort and style.
The Animals
Never a dull moment with this dynamic trio aboard. More than just a dog and two cats, these three are our therapists, our entertainers, and most importantly our friends.
